<<back 2016 Alameda Corridor Fees Effective January 1, 2016

Dear Valued Customer

Effective January 1st, 2016, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and Union Pacific Railroad will be increasing the Alameda Corridor User Fees.

These fees will apply to waterborne containers that originate or terminate at the Port facilities of Los Angeles and/or Long Beach and move by rail into or out of Southern California. These fees will also apply to non-waterborne containers that are not loaded onto or discharged from a vessel but move over the Alameda Corridor via rail.

The Alameda Corridor Fee amounts are as follows:


Loaded Waterborne Containers BNSF UP
22' or less $23.26 $23.00
Greater than 22' and equal to but not greater than 44' $46.52 $47.00
Greater than 44' but less than 48' $52.34 $52.00


Empty Waterborne Containers BNSF UP
22' or less $5.57 $6.00
Greater than 22' and equal to but not greater than 44' $11.14 $11.00
Greater than 44' but less than 48' $12.53 $13.00


Non Waterborne Containers (Load or Empty): BNSF UP
22' or less $5.57 $5.00
Greater than 22' and equal to but not greater than 44' $11.14 $11.00
